The bus stops in the Lake of Two Rivers Campground , which is walking distance away from Highland Backpacking Trailhead (19 & 35 km loops). Note that you may need to register in the Mew Lake Campground office upon arrival, which is about 800m walk along Hwy. 60 from the bus dropoff point.


The Western Uplands Backpacking Trail (32 to 88 km loops) is another great trail, but will require passengers to get off at our West Gate stop for backcountry registration, and then continue approximately 3km by foot to the trailhead.

An important consideration for backpackers should be planning ahead for the last night of the trip. Your last campsite should be close enough for you to return to the bus in time.
