So you're going group camping with Parkbus... Here's what you need to know.

Ready to hit the road? Our Guides crafted the ultimate packing list so you can pack smart, travel light, and make the most of our epic bus camping trips.

Shelter and Sleeping:

  • Tent (with stakes and guylines) 
  • Ground tarp or footprint for the tent 
  • Sleeping bag appropriate for the season 
  • Sleeping pad or inflatable mattress 
  • Pillow or stuff sack filled with clothes 

Cooking and Food:

  • Portable camping stove (with fuel)

(While cooking over an open fire can be a fun outdoor experience, it cooks food way slower than a stove. Please keep this in mind while planning your meals.)

  • Lighter or matches (stored in a waterproof container) 
  • Cooking pots and/or pans 
  • Eating utensils (knife, fork, spoon) 
  • Plates or bowls 
  • Cup or mug 
  • Biodegradable soap and sponge for washing dishes 
  • Food (non-perishable items or perishables stored in a cooler) 
  • Snacks 
  • Water bottles or hydration system 
  • Collapsible water jar or water container 

Clothing and Personal Items:

  • ID and health card (in case of emergency)
    Weather-appropriate clothing (including layers) 
  • Sturdy hiking boots or shoes 
  • Hat and sunglasses 
  • Rain gear (jacket, pants, or poncho) 
  • Extra socks and underwear
  • Personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc.)
  • Quick-dry towel
  • Insect repellent 
  • Sunscreen
  • First aid kit (including any necessary medications)
  • Multi-tool or knife
  • Headlamp or flashlight (with extra batteries)
  • Backpack for carrying gear on hikes
  • Trash bags (for waste and packing out trash)
  • Beach Blanket
  • Whistle

Optional:

  • Camping chair or sit pad
    Sandals for beach
  • S'mores
  • Camping lantern or hanging light
  • Hammock 
  • Entertainment items (book, journal, playing cards, musical instruments)
    Sports or Board Games
  • Mosquito head neat 
  • Camera or smartphone for capturing memories
  • Basic watch with the alarm feature
