Frequently Asked Questions

We are not operating to Pipi7íyekw /Joffre Lakes for 2024. We are happy to still offer public transportation to other beautiful British Columbia parks.

Consider a trip to one of three great parks: Garibaldi, Golden Ears, Othello Tunnels, or Cultus Lake

The bus service to Pipi7íyekw/Joffre Lakes Provincial Park from Vancouver is a popular public transportation service for visitors to Vancouver and residents alike, however, the service will not be running for the 2024 season. BC Parks could not allow any operators, including Parkbus, to the park this season.

While we understand we are an important service for those who rely on public transportation to reach the great outdoors in BC, the decision was made due to BC Parks internal considerations. No public transportation options will be available to Pipi7íyekw /Joffre Lakes Provincial Park in 2024. We will be offering transportation to alternative destinations in its place.

Parkbus hopes to work with both BC Parks, Lil’wat Nation and N’Quatqua First Nations to ensure the 2025 service will support the Pipi7íyekw /Joffre Lakes Management Plan, as previously outlined herein.
