Nestled within the rugged beauty of Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park near Hope, BC, the Othello Tunnels offer an accessible yet adventurous experience for all. This 3.5-kilometre round-trip trail, part of the Trans Canada Trail, invites visitors to traverse a series of historic railway tunnels and bridges carved through solid granite cliffs, high above the roaring Coquihalla River.

Originally constructed in 1914 as part of the Kettle Valley Railway, these engineering marvels were designed by chief engineer Andrew McCulloch, a Shakespeare enthusiast who named the surrounding stations after the Bard's characters.  Today, the decommissioned railway has been transformed into a scenic walking path, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the area's rich history and natural splendor
