Long Weekend Group Camping in Algonquin

First time camping? Come with us.

This beginner and family friendly group camping trip is packed full of activities from our Parkbus Guides. You'll enjoy a weekend of workshops, guided group activities and free time at the park. Learn more about the weekend below. This trip can accommodate up to 30 (thirty) people!

Friday August 29 - Monday September 1

You do not have to come as a group or family, this introduction to camping trip is open to our whole Parkbus community, and if you're new here you'll meet great new friends and leave with awesome memories.

Your ticket includes:

  • Coach bus transportation to and from the park
  • Dedicated Parkbus Guides for the full weekend who will be leading workshops, guided hikes and other activities
  • Firewood and kindling for your campsite for two nights

Tickets:

  • Adults: $375
  • Children (up the 12): $150
Pickup Location
34 Asquith Ave

Pick up at 34 Asquith Ave, just north of the Yonge and Bloor Subway stop. We recommend getting there 15 minutes early to make sure you have enough time for the bus.

Whitefish Lake Campground

Whitefish Lake Campground offers a peaceful escape surrounded by forest, freshwater, and wildlife. Located along the shores of Whitefish Lake, this campground is ideal for both first-time campers and seasoned outdoor lovers.

It features large, flat campsites perfect for group camping, plus easy access to swimming, paddling, and hiking. The calm, shallow waters of Whitefish Lake make it great for a morning dip or sunset paddle. Just a short walk from our campsite, you'll find trailheads, comfort stations, and scenic lookouts.

Sample Itinerary for the Weekend

Friday August 29 - Monday September 1
  • Friday: Arrival, campsite set-up, welcome circle, evening activity with Ontario Parks, site campfires
  • Saturday: Morning hike, workshops, free time, community dinner, campfires
  • Sunday: Breakfast, optional activity, pack-up, departure
  • Food to plan for: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners & plenty of snacks
