Etobicoke to Elora Gorge

Small-town charm, big autumn views

Discover the dramatic limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters of Elora Gorge Conservation Area. Enjoy swimming, hiking, and exploring the charming historic village of Elora. Perfect for those seeking natural beauty combined with small-town charm and recreational activities.

Hop on the bus from Etobicoke and spend your Saturday exploring one of Ontario’s most picturesque autumn escapes: Elora Gorge and the charming town of Elora. Imagine towering 22-metre cliffs, the Grand River rushing below, and trails lined with red, orange, and golden leaves. The gorge is home to lookouts, the famous “Hole-in-the-Rock” staircase, and peaceful paths for every level of hiker.

After soaking up the scenery, you’ll step into the storybook setting of Elora. With its historic stone buildings, cozy cafés, and riverside views, the town feels like you’ve wandered onto the set of a Hallmark movie. In fall, Elora comes alive with seasonal events like the quirky Monster Month, open-studio art tours, and shops filled with autumn treasures. Whether you’re here for the trails, the art, the food, or simply the magic of fall, this trip promises a perfect mix of nature and small-town charm.
