A Guided Winter Camping Adventure

An overnight, learn to winter camp experience with classic Canadian winter activities at Four Corners Algonquin

We're heading to Four Corners Algonquin on this one-night learn to winter camp adventure.

Join us Family Day Long Weekend February 14th-15th and embrace the winter weather up in Algonquin Provincial Park. This is a close and intimate trip, open to only 12 people. Book as individual or invite your friends.

Your trip starts before you hit the ground with a webinar on winter camping with Four Corners Algonquin, where you'll be hosted for the night.

Feb 7th or thereabouts
Zoom call with John from Four Corners a week ahead to discuss winter camping – what to bring, what to wear, what to expect, Q&A

Then you'll head up north, the team has your weekend planned out for you!

Check out this loaded itinerary:

February 14th:
Arrive ~ 1pm

  • Unload and set up camp at Four Corners Algonquin
  • Head out for ice fishing on Poverty Lake, equipment provided, target species is speckled trout
  • Warm up with dinner provided by the Madmusher, plus any trout we catch
  • Evening entertainment at Bongopix in Whitney
  • Guided stargazing. It's a new moon and if the clouds hold off, the sky conditions will be perfect!
  • Cozy up in your winter tent for a refreshing winter's sleep.

February 15th:

  • Enjoy breakfast courtesy of the Madmusher
  • Head out on a snow shoeing adventure (rentals included) for the morning including feeding the chickadees!
  • Come back to warm up with a bagged lunch from the Madmusher
  • Pack up your bags and new winter memories

Depart ~ 3pm You'll head back to the city on a coach shuttle.

Pick up at 34 Asquith Ave, just north of the Yonge and Bloor Subway stop. We recommend getting there 15 minutes early to make sure you have enough time for the bus.
