First Day Hike: Mono Cliffs Provincial Park

Start the year on the right trail.
Join us for our First Day Hike at Mono Cliffs on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and kick off your New Year surrounded by cliffs, cedars, and fresh winter air.
Located along the Bruce Trail on the stunning Niagara Escarpment, Mono Cliffs is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and reset your mind. You’ll wind through forest paths, climb gentle ridges, and take in sweeping views from the cliff-top lookout — all while meeting friendly new faces who love the outdoors as much as you do.
What Makes Mono Cliffs Special
Mono Cliffs sits on the Bruce Trail, Canada’s longest footpath, and follows part of the Niagara Escarpment, known for its dramatic rock faces, ridges, and forested valleys. You’ll encounter 30-metre cliffs, moss-covered boardwalks, and open lookouts with sweeping views across the countryside. The trail weaves through cedar forests, ferns, and frozen ponds — a winter wonderland just an hour from the GTA.
