Alpaca Encounters & Lakeside Calm
Spend a relaxing Sunday with a morning hike followed by meeting the friendly alpacas of Harmony Meadows! Start your day enjoying a guided hike or free time at Guelph Lake Conservation Area — walk the lakeside trails, take in the fall colours, or just sit back and soak in the peaceful scenery. Afterwards we'll head to the farm for a guided visit where you step right into the pasture to hand-feed these curious, gentle animals while learning all about their unique personalities and care.

Pick up at 34 Asquith Ave, just north of the Yonge and Bloor Subway stop. We recommend getting there 15 minutes early to make sure you have enough time for the bus.

Activities:
Enjoy a lakeside walk, take photos, or simply relax with the group. There are picnic areas and easy trails nearby for exploring.
Facilities:
There is a portable toilet available in the day-use parking lot for patrons to use. No flush washrooms are available as the park is in winter mode.

Harmony Meadows Alpaca Farm
What to Expect:
A guided visit into the alpaca pasture. You’ll get to hand-feed them a special grain treat (no outside food allowed) and learn about their habits and care from the farm team.
Clothing:
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and closed-toe shoes. Alpacas are tidy animals, but you’ll be outdoors on a farm.
Amenities:
Washrooms and a small shop with alpaca wool products are available onsite.
Timing:
We'll head to Guelph Lake for our first stop for a morning of hiking, and head to Harmony Meadows for 2pm, and depart for the city at 4:30pm.
