Ball's Falls Hike & TASC Summer Flower Festival

Spend a Saturday chasing waterfalls, exploring a historic village, and gathering armfuls of flowers. In the morning, we’ll take you to Ball’s Falls Conservation Area, one of the prettiest corners of the Niagara Escarpment. In the afternoon, you’ll wander through the rows at TASC Summer Flower Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, building your own bouquet and enjoying the sunshine.
Ball’s Falls Conservation Area
Ball’s Falls is a peaceful slice of Niagara that feels like stepping back in time. The Upper and Lower Falls spill over layers of the escarpment, framed by forest trails and lookout points. The site also preserves a 19th-century hamlet, complete with original buildings, a working grist mill, and the Centre for Conservation museum. Trails range from quick lookouts to gentle loops that connect waterfalls, wildflower meadows, and forest paths. It’s an ideal spot for a picnic by the creek, a short hike, or just to sit and take in the sound of rushing water.
TASC Flower Pick Farm
In the afternoon, we head to one of Niagara’s most photogenic farms: TASC Flower Farm. With over 20 acres of blooms, you’ll be surrounded by colour—sunflowers, dahlias, gladiolus, marigolds, cosmos, and zinnias. Your ticket includes 10 stems of your choice (extras are just $1 each), so you can leave with a hand-picked bouquet. The farm is designed for lingering: swings and photo frames dot the fields, and there’s a merch tent with bulbs, vases, and gardening supplies. Bring your own picnic basket, blanket, and lunch to enjoy between flower rows.
