Saugeen Beach, which you may still know as Sauble Beach, is the second longest freshwater beach in Canada. It sits on the Lake Huron side of the Bruce Peninsula. The sand is fine and pale, the bottom slopes out gently for ages, and the water warms up properly by mid summer in a way Lake Ontario simply does not.

Nobody leads the day. The bus drops you off, you do what you like with the time, and you meet it again where it left you.
Flat and short, on even ground, with no climbing and no rush. This is a walk rather than a hike, and you set the pace.
Fine pale sand, a gentle slope, and water that warms up properly. Anyone who grew up on the Atlantic will understand the appeal about four seconds after taking their shoes off.
It has been effectively out of reach without a car and a full tank of patience, which is most of the reason this route exists.
There is a whole town's worth of things to do a short walk from the sand: paddleboards to rent, volleyball, ice cream counters, chip trucks, and quieter dunes further from the crowd if you want them.

The beach is the main event. Your entry to the falls is included, and some people do both.
We pick you up
Just north of Yonge and Bloor subway station. Come up the Asquith exit and look for the coach.
Golden sand running north to south along Lakeshore Boulevard, with access paths, public swimming areas and picnic tables the whole way. Walk far enough and the crowd thins out to nothing.

Note: Doing both in one day means roughly 6 to 7 km of walking, about 3.5 km of it on sand. Ask your driver which pickup point you are coming back from before you set off.

The bus returns to the same place it left from, so you go home the way you came.

Your entry to Sauble Falls Provincial Park comes with the ticket, and the falls are walkable from the beach's north end.

Cancel more than 14 days before departure and you get a 90% refund, with 10% withheld for payment processing. Inside 14 days refunds are not available, except for a medical emergency in the 48 hours before departure, which needs a signed doctor’s note within 14 days of the missed trip and returns 50%. Tickets are transferable: you can change the passenger name up to 48 hours before departure.
If Parkbus cancels a trip, you get a full refund. We decide no later than 48 hours before departure and only on confirmed conditions: the park closed or the park authority asking us to stand down, an evacuation order or alert, an area restriction order, the highway closed, or the trip judged unsafe to run. A forecast is not one of those things, and trips run rain or shine.
